Jareth hummed quietly to himself in the absence of other characters and a plotline in general.

Ambrosious reflected on the mysterious circumstances of Jareth's birth. He knew that he had lost his memory at the price of keeping the boy safe-- but why? What was out there?

"We need to leave. Now."

Ambrosious nudged the Goblin King. "There's a portal we need to get through."

Jareth looked blearily at the dog.
"Where is the portal?"

Don't tell me truth hurts, little girl...
Cause it hurts like hell.

Jareth shook his head slightly, trying to clear the ringing from his ears. He was hallucinating. Or something similar to it.

Ambrosious raised a paw and a portal appeared. "In we go!"
He contemplated Jareth who seemed in the middle of a drug-laced peach trip.
"Hello?"

Jareth shook his head again and dove into the portal.
For a moment, the swirling colors around him were fascinating to look at but he closed his eyes, trying to control his headache.
He didn't know where they were going or how long it would take to get there.

BUt when he did, he would be horrified to discover that he had landed only seconds later with a resoudning crash--

DUN DUN DUN


INTO REALITY.

Ambrosious stopped trying to narrate other people's lives and sat to wait for the others to regain their equilibrium in reality.

"Alright, where the hell are we?" Jareth muttered.
Ambrosious didn't reply.
"Ambrosious...?"
Still nothing.
Jareth stared at the dog, hoping beyond hope that what he suspected was happening wasn't actually happening.
"You can't talk in this realm, can you?"

"Woooof!"

Ambrosious pawed the ground nervously.

Jareth closed his eyes.
"Great. Frickin fabulous. And of course I stand out like none other, so what the deuce are we going to do now?"
He surveyed their surroundings.
They appeared to be on a downtown street in a small town. The evening air was cool but not cold, and a slight breeze ruffled Jareth's hair. Luckily for them, there was no one around.

Ambrosious gesticulated the best a large sheepdog can at a line of clothing hanging inconspicuously out of sight. Perhaps an advisable costume change could allow Jareth to blend with the local fauna. Whether Jareth's magic was up to a costume change Ambrosious didn't know, but he figured it was for the best for them to stay undercover.
